Everyone loves getting into the Christmas spirit by buying or making gifts for their loved ones, baking cookies, going caroling, or decorating their home, school, or office. However, as hard as we try, sometimes we just can’t get it right. Evidently, the person who was put in charge of making a snowman shaped arrangement on one of the walls at school did not have their daily cup of morning brew to get those creative juices flowing.
Breakup In A Box
The holidays are always such a romantic time – and if the idea of a white Christmas or floating mistletoe are not enough, there is always the idea of the new year fast approaching to make even the most fickle individuals declare their love and pop the question. Amy could not wait for Christmas morning. She’s been dating Niel for the past 5 years, so she figured this present would come in the form of a diamond ring. Niel, on the other hand, had other plans.
This little girl could not wait for Christmas this year. She has been obsessed with anything remotely related to her favorite movie yet – Frozen – and knew exactly what she was going to ask from Santa. The animated Disney film was huge worldwide, but it seems as though in this particular household, the family has had enough of the Frozen songs that were constantly on repeat, which is why she received a bag of frozen peas in response to her “anything Frozen” request. Clearly, she couldn’t hide her disappointment.
Every year, all the schools in the region would have a gingerbread house competition. It was practically the biggest event of the year, especially considering the prize for those who came in first place – an all-expenses paid round trip to Disneyland for the entire family! Jordan, on the other hand, had enough of putting so much effort into his submissions only to wind up coming in second place, so he decided to approach the competition in a different way this time around.
Are You Kitting Me?
Pet owners claim the world can be divided into two different sets of people – dog lovers and cat lovers. While the many ups and downs of each pet is understandable, there is no denying there is one particular differentiation in the characteristics of the two – while dogs are warm creatures who constantly seek attention, cats can be found doing as they please and objecting violently when they don’t get their way. This time, it was the Elf on the Shelf who had to pay the price.
Through The Roof
We are all about Christmas joy and the holiday festivity, but decorating your house is one thing, and cutting through the roof to make the ultimate tree fit in it is quite another. This could have been a prank pulled by the family who lives here, as part of the street decorations competition. However, it looks a bit too real to us, so we are just going to hope that no one catches a cold on account of the hole in the ceiling!
Seems like Lindt decided to be financially smart with their chocolate products this year – instead of producing two different shapes of chocolate for every holiday, someone made the call that is would be better to have one production line making endless cycles of only bunny-shaped chocolate. To be honest, the bunnies could pass as reindeer if the shopper is not picky, but we are not sure celebrating Easter during Christmas is the way to go, especially since having rabbits move Santa’s sleigh would take years!
This Walmart employee was not feeling particularly grateful this year, so instead of going door to door singing carols with his friends or carefully planning a Christmas day itinerary saturated with holiday-themed films and too many cups of hot chocolate, he went on full Grinch mode and messed up the Christmas sock section. Perhaps they had a bad experience with the holiday, but that is no reason to spoil it for everybody else! One thing’s for sure – he’s going on the “Naughty” list.
Anything You Want
The holidays can bring out new sides of people, but not necessarily their good, kind or considerate side. Because it is rare that families get together for such a blissful occasion, it is expected to put aside your differences and focus on getting along for everybody’s sake. This fiance clearly did not get the memo about holiday compassion, since he would have probably put up the plastic tree the appropriate way and not left it in its box.
Electric Holiday Buzz
The IT department in this office wanted to get in on the festivities despite having the busiest schedule in the company. They were working on a new product that was about to hit the market, but that did not mean they had to be closed off in a room that felt completely isolated. For that reason, they came up with a decorating idea that fit the occupation of those in the room. The wreath just goes to show that being a logical type doesn’t mean you aren’t creative!
Santa Claus could have had a bit too much to drink and could not find a bathroom nearby, but that is no reason to relieve himself on someone’s roof! Surely, the people living in this house could have come up with a better way to commemorate the most magical time of the year than having its icon positioned in such an obscene manner in public, but at least everyone in sight got a good laugh out of the mischievous act.
Clearly, whoever came up with this concept never considered testing the durability of the ornaments’ material through a determined four-year-old, otherwise a different adjective would have been used to describe it, as shatterproof is highly inaccurate. We hope there is a money back guarantee for these ornaments, otherwise, that is $4.98 this family wasted for nothing. It is a good thing this box consisted of 18 ornaments all-together since the broken ones were shattered to an extent that could not be fixed.
Rudolph The Melted Reindeer
Pinterest is filled with brilliant and creative ideas, especially when it comes to DIY and recipes that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are delicious. However, the website can be highly misleading by making some things seem as though they are easier to make than they really are, or leaving out bits of information that are crucial in order to achieve the required final result. The internet is filled with Pinterest attempts that wound up all kinds of wrong, and it’s actually hilarious.
Romance For Dummies
Kas Grabowsi would never have imagined his little brother, who he thought looks up to him, would give him the worst Christmas present he ever received. But as it turns out, children really do not hold back when it comes to the truth, which does not always go in our favor. It is not easy hearing the truth for some, which, in Kas’s case, was an unfortunate raveling. Who knows, maybe that hand-made book will actually help with the romance department?
And Then Bambi Was Born
Cold, winter days carry romance in the air, and how could they not? When temperatures drop, so does any urge to go out and mingle with strangers. All you want to do is stay home, wear comfortable clothes and snuggle with the ones you love. This mug, although it might seem innocent at first, paints a different picture when zooming in on the passionate reindeer celebrating their love. Some might find it in bad taste, but love is love.
North Pole Problems
This poor Santa Claus was probably working too hard to get all the presents over to the kids who made the “Nice” list, since he could not even stay awake for the entire subway ride. It is evident that the guy sitting next to him is unsure how to behave and whether to offer his childhood hero a hand or simply let him sleep off his fatigue, but we take comfort in the fact there are comfy-looking seats for him to rest his head on.
Come To Life
Can you imagine staying up all night thinking about the neatly wrapped present waiting for you under the Christmas tree, only to tear it open the next day and find an Extreme Chores motion-controlled video game? This could actually be a smart way to get your children hyped up about doing their daily chores – after all, who would not want to have their video game come to life? Well, other than those terrifying zombie games, we mean.
Location, Location, Location
Toy designers from whatever store that sold this Santa doll should have planned out more carefully where they would position the “Press Here” button, since it can be easily misinterpreted as something that only those on the “naughty” list can talk about! Although kids are most likely not going to think twice about the rather peculiar placing, it would most definitely convince more parents that this toy means no harm. We cannot help but wonder, however, what Mr. Claus says when that button is pushed.
Tom wanted to give his youngest son, Johnny, a gift he would remember. However, Johnny had recently stated he was converting to another religion out of spite. Being such a hot topic around the house right before Christmas rolled around, there was no way Tom was going to let this little craze go without a prank, so to scare and confuse him, he wrapped up the brand new pair of skis he bought him into a present resembling a huge cross.
The Thought That Counts
When it comes to gift giving (and receiving), it is polite to think that it is the thought that counts, even if the present is not exactly what one was hoping for. Although some families give a lot of credit to the card given as well as the present, there is one matter not many give a lot of thought to – and that is the art of gift wrapping. Whoever wrapped the present in the picture below was at least a good sport about accepting his failure.
Up until recently, having the best looking tree was the ultimate Christmas goal. However, one of the latest trends around the holiday season is not having a tree at all. Whether it is due to environmentalists not wanting to contribute to the industry that revolves around chopping trees or people simply not having the time to purchase one, there are plenty of alternatives. This substitute, however, is not for everyone, since messing with the strings could wind you up with a tangled mess.
Someone call the neighborhood watch, there has been a crime! Oh wait, it is just the kid from next door pulling his annual Christmas prank. Perhaps it is about time somebody told Adam off for his mischievous ways, as a stunt like this could give the poor elderly lady who lives down the street a heart attack, despite the fact the severely injured victim is, in this case, a lifeless snowman, and the blood that is coming out is nothing more than red food coloring.
Which Way Is North?
It is true that the holiday season can sometimes make you feel as though your life is upside down. It is also possible that you lost all sense of gravity being so ecstatic about the vacation you booked in advance, but that does not mean that stores should start selling ornaments that are the wrong way around. This could be a brand new concept, having upside down Christmas trees, although it seems less likely that a large target audience would be found.
Women must not be highly praised in this household, since the positioning of the “Ho Ho Ho” could be mistaken for a crude comment regarding their liberal code of ethics. Christmas and the holiday season is all about showing some love, but some easygoing mannerisms could be viewed as less than positive in certain circles. Although it could be argued that the girls are put on a sort of pedestal by being placed on the mantelpiece, we would still vote against the “Ho”s.
No, this picture was not taken in Salem, Massachusetts, nor does it have anything to do with the infamous witch hunt that took place in the 1690’s. Despite the morbid shadow that can be seen on the house, the projected light is meant to shine on the homemade carousel and create a warm, carnival-like feeling, not concern passersby with the neighborhood they are living in. Still, it is very likely the family living in that house was asked to reconsider their Christmas decorations for next year.
Ketchup With The Program
Always forward-thinking, Heinz was not letting this holiday season slip away without adding their cheeky marketing strategy on local grocery store shelves. Although we can appreciate the idea that was put into coming up with these Christmas-friendly ketchup bottle labels, that still does not mean anyone would want to get one as a present. Unless you know of someone who cannot live without the condiment, it is probably best to stick to the old scarf and socks combination.
Sending out a Christmas card is a touchy subject for those who take it very seriously. One can attempt to capture the perfect moment by positioning everyone according to height, having all those pictured wearing the same sweater and even hiring a professional photographer – but at the end of the day, what counts the most is snapping a picture that is real. This one truly captures the essence of the family in an honestly chaotic moment that is pure laughter, love, and joy – what Christmas is all about.
Now here is an ornament you do not come across often – one that depicts rapper Lil’ Wayne. Not a common sight around Christmas trees, nor what one would expect to find lying around a traditional home, but there is definitely no denying the ornament screams uniqueness like no other. This could be a smart idea for a company – selling Christmas ornaments featuring your favorite music and film stars. Notice the bejeweled grills glued to that wicked smile, now that’s dedication to your art!
Santa probably received enough requests for a puppy as a Christmas present for a lifetime, but some things simply never get old. Dogs are called man’s best friend for a reason – they give unconditional love and will stop at nothing to please their owners. Is it really so shocking that every little girl and boy’s wish for the holidays is to get a tail-wagging best friend? However, if a parent does feel generous enough to provide their child with one, maybe it’s best not to wrap it.
We would definitely not go as far as to call this dog Santa’s little helper, as, by the look on its face, we are going to go out on a limb here and guess that being festive is not one of its main characteristics. Perhaps that Mr. Claus’s costume is on too tight, but just to be on the safe side, we are going to stay clear of its exposed teeth and hope its Christmas dinner didn’t consist of too many barking mad moments.
