20 Amazing Female Tennis Players

By News Editor - February 24, 2016 · Entertainment · Sports

The first women’s singles tennis competitions in Wimbledon took place in 1884, but it took until 1931 that the first woman played tennis in shorts, and not in a long dress. Since then, female tennis players have been judged not only by their performance on the court but also by their attractiveness. Luckily, talent, success and attractiveness are not mutually exclusive. Here are 20 female tennis players that can pull off a tennis outfit just as well as a fancy dress.

Ana Ivanovic

The Women’s Tennis Association ranks this Serbian tennis pro as No. 16 in the world. She was recently voted to be the sexiest tennis player of 2015 on the website Victoria Milan. Ana was inspired to play tennis because of Monica Seles.

She turned pro in 2003 after having to face many odds, such as avoiding NATO bombardments of Yugoslavia in 1999.

Maria Sharapova

This Russian tennis star is ranked No. 6 in the world by the WTA. Her good looks have allowed her to score a number of modeling jobs.

Not least of which is an appearance in the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Eugenie Bouchard

This 21-year-old Canadian is currently No. 58 in the world. She recently posted pictures of herself in Nike training pants, captioning the picture “Compressions to make your peach look hot.” And right she was.

Eugenie is the first Canadian woman ever to play the finals of a Grand Slam tournament.

Serena Williams

Serena is undoubtedly the best female tennis player to date. If you haven’t heard of her, you haven’t heard of tennis. In 2015, she was the first black female athlete to be pictured on the cover of Vogue.

Her tight buns will kick your ass anytime at any place.

Anna Kournikova

Anna has retired from tennis, but she is still one of the most famous female tennis stars ever. So famous, that her name was on the list of the most googled (and ogled) names on the Google Search list.

Anna was often ridiculed for not winning titles, but if you look at this list you see that the competition was strong.

Steffi Graf

The German tennis star holds the record for most wins by any tennis player, male or female.

She is so hot, that at a charity auction her husband Andre Agassi managed to get over $4000 for just one peek at a naked snapshot of his wife.

Caroline Wozniacki

This Danish tennis ace is a former world No. 1. In 2015, she was invited to be in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and showed off her toned body in a revealing white bikini.

Caroline Wozniacki is the first Scandinavian woman ever to be the world No. 1.

Angelique Kerber

Angelique Kerber surprisingly won the Australian Open against Serena Williams. She celebrated her win by going for a swim in the Yarra river.

Angelique was inspired to play tennis by German tennis legends Steffi Graf and Boris Becker.

Garbiñe Muguruza

The Spanish tennis player only started her career in 2012. But she is already ranked world No. 3.

When she is not on the court, she likes sharing pictures on Instagram that show off her luscious hair and long legs.

Elene Dementieva

This Russian tennis player has retired from the court and is now a happy mother.

Aside from being a great tennis player, she is so attractive that she appeared in a music video entitled “How beautiful you are”.

If you think female tennis players are hot on the court, you should wait until you see the beautiful pregnancy photo she shared on her Instagram.

Alvarez was ranked in the world’s Top Ten long before any of the other tennis players on this list were even born.

Sania Mirza

Sania Mirza is a beautiful Indian tennis player who is the No. 1 in women’s doubles. She has had to deal with criticism and even threats because her outfits were deemed too revealing by some people.

Luckily for us, she didn’t back down and continued wearing her shorts.

Good for her for allowing the world to see her full beauty.

Not only did she win 18 Grand Slam titles, but she also paved the way for tennis players to embrace their femininity on and off the court.
