Good Looking Felon, Jeremy Meeks, Makes Surprising Admission About New Girlfriend

He’s become a face recognized worldwide, but Jeremy Meeks’ face was first spotted while serving time behind bars. Having been signed up to a modeling agency after his time in jail, the ‘handsome felon’ became linked to another high profile name, Chloe Green. Now, he reveals all about his romance to the beautiful Topshop heiress.

The world came to know Jeremy for his piercing blue eyes, gang tattoos, and overall strikingly good looks. However, his flawless looks have not been a reflection of his troubled life.

California-born Jeremy shot to fame when the Stockton Police Department posted his prison mugshot on Facebook in 2014. Having racked up an impressive 75,000 likes, 20,000 comments, and 10,000 shares for the photograph, Meeks soon became an online sensation, and, as a result, his bail was raised to £780,000. The ‘Blue-Eyed Bandit’ was put in a fortunate position having already secured thousands of fans, so his mom decided to capitalize on his newfound fame and set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for his release.

While his image may have been making its way online and around the world, there was little known about the man behind the blue eyes. While his good looks may have garnered him an allegiance of followers, he was only known to be the good looking felon behind jail bars. Following his release in 2016 and his link to Sir Phillip Green’s daughter a year later, Meeks has certainly made his life more well-known, including a very public affair and subsequent divorce.

Born on February 7, 1984, Meeks is a father-of-three, but only one of his children are biologically his. While married to his former wife, Melissa, the pair had one child together during their eight year relationship. Melissa, however, has two children from another marriage, who Meeks treated as his own during the marriage. Their youngest child, Jeremy Meeks Jr., is seen by his father as his ‘mini-me’ for sharing a similar appearance in looks, particularly with the same piercing blue eyes.

Meanwhile, his relationship with his son’s mother has not been all smooth sailing in more recent times. The couple married when Meeks was 24, and when celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary at the beginning of 2017, Meeks also posted a photo with the caption, ‘Through thick and thin,’ when describing his relationship with his loving wife. This quote could have been due to the fact Melissa stood by her felon husband during his 27-month jail sentence and had only been released months prior.

Melissa was also with Meeks when he shot to fame after his release from prison. Having said he found God after his release, he also found himself walking down the catwalk at New York Fashion Week and becoming responsible for a large fortune of money that he was now making. He moved into a luxury mansion in Los Angeles with Melissa and their three children, while also driving a $160,000 sports car. Quite the turn around from his previous years.

After walking in several Fashion Week catwalks in 2017, only a few months after leaving prison, Meeks soon became the face of a campaign of Israeli sunglasses fashion house, Carolina Lemke. Appearing on billboards alongside fellow model, Bar Rafaeli, the campaign looked at how Meeks’ background was different to Rafaeli’s, stating “There has never been a mix like this.” Meeks certainly had a different background to the successful Israeli model, and his path was not always destined for him to become such a successful model himself.

While Jeremy has been able to enjoy the finer things in life more since his release from prison, it is a far cry away from the life he led growing up. Born in Tacoma, Washington State, Meeks says he had the ‘life of any kid growing up in an inner-city environment with not very much money.’ Having been raised by his mother, Katherine Angier, since his father was serving a life sentence from when he was nine-months-old, he said they always struggled with money.

As Jeremy grew older, his sister adopted him and his brother to give them a better life. However, he blames the lack of a strong father figure in his life as a result of him eventually ending up in the gang life. Having looked elsewhere for some guidance in life, he found himself being involved with the wrong people at the age of 14 instead. Looking back on his decisions, Meeks expresses, ‘when I should have gone straight I went left, and I regret that.’

Although Meeks claims his rough childhood made him strive to achieve better, he found himself in a similar situation to his father in 2002. That year, Meeks was charged with robbery and corporal injury to a child as he violently assaulted a 16-year-old boy. He was charged in California and served a nine-year prison sentence, where he also confessed to being a member of the Northside Ganger Crips. Meeks was charged yet again in 2005 for identity theft after having impersonated his brother, Emery.

It seems as though Meeks had not learned his lesson following his nine years behind bars because, following his release, he soon found himself back in prison for another two years. This time proved to work in his favor, however, since his mugshot soon made him become one of the most high-in-demand models, and he secured a contract with White Cross Management. The former felon was signed with Hollywood agent, Gina Rodriguez, and has since had tremendous success in the fashion world.

His success was revealed by his ex-wife as to have reached making $1 million a month, although he has since hit back at this claim saying the actual sum is $6,000. A big step up regardless, since most felons leaving prison, do not enter the world of the rich and famous. Having been sighted with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, as well as walking down catwalks for big designer names, it is hoped that Meeks has finally learned his lesson from his younger days.

Having achieved sudden success overnight, Meeks looks at his mugshot slightly different to us. “The ‘Hot Felon’ label is a blessing and a curse because it was the thing that gave me the opportunity to change my life for the better. But the look on my face in that picture is me in my mind thinking: “I won’t be able to put my son to bed tonight or take him to school tomorrow morning.’ It was sadness and regret.”

The world may know him as the attractive felon but, just as Meeks has stated it has different connotations for him, he longs for the day he is no longer known for that title. “I just can’t wait for a day when I am seen as Jeremy Meeks and not just a ‘Hot Felon.’ Am I a felon? Yes. Do I have brighter things in my future? A thousand percent.” With a successful modeling career under his belt, Meeks is striving for more.

Jeremy has stated that he hopes to pursue an acting career having taken up acting classes, as well as trying his go at music and setting up his own business. “I’d like to start my own businesses now so I have something to leave for my kids.” Now that he has more time to achieve his own goals, as well as spend with his children, he is hoping to strive for that life he once dreamt of when he was younger.

While he may don several gang tattoos all around his body and be seen as a dangerous man who has served time in prison, Meeks is known to be quite the family man. Away from his photoshoots and catwalks, Jeremy is known to post photographs of himself and his family on his social media, obviously making up for a lot of long lost time. However, all is not what it seemed with Jeremy and his relationship with his family, in particular his wife.

Having been married for eight years, and quite often expressing how strong their love for one another is, things turned sour in 2017 when photographs emerged online of Jeremy kissing another woman. While the world believed he was still married, these photos led fans to assume that Jeremy had been caught cheating on his dedicated wife, Melissa. Also, the woman in question to be having an affair with the world’s most attractive felon was not just anyone, but rather, British retailer tycoon Sir Phillip Green’s daughter.

In July 2017, Meeks was spotted kissing Chloe while the pair were on vacation together in Turkey. Melissa soon confirmed that she was left ‘humiliated’ upon discovering these photos of her husband of eight years cheating on her. Under the belief that Meeks was on a work trip, all was later revealed that he was, in fact, spending time with his new girlfriend. While it was a firm confirmation that their marriage was over, Melissa states, ‘Those pictures will haunt me forever.”

It seems as though Melissa is not holding back her words on the new relationship either. Having stated she did not know who Chloe Green was when the pictures came out, she has given half the blame to the Topshop heiress. “I know it takes two to tango, but she knew he was married,” she said. “To me, that’s unforgivable. My whole world has been torn apart by this. What do I tell our children? My heart is broken.”

With divorce filings made in October 2017, with Jeremy’s relationship with Chloe clearly in the public eye, Melissa claims they will still work together to get the best for their children. Having already introduced Jeremy Jr. to Chloe, Meeks intends on paying child support for his child although Melissa is seeking sole legal and physical custody of him. So, while the former couple has stated that there will be no reconciliation between them, Jeremy will have a presence in his children’s lives.

So why did this beautiful felon leave his loving wife for his new girlfriend? To Jeremy, the love he has with Chloe is the real deal. However, other people speculate his real motive behind the relationship, after all, Chloe is heir to billions from her ultra-rich father. Since Jeremy came from very little and had only just begun to make his own money, could he really be after the fame and fortune of Miss Green, or is this true love?

Reason for speculation could be a result of Chloe’s father hiring the model for a Topman publicity campaign in Los Angeles. Since Sir Phillip Green owns a fashion empire which includes Topman within the range, there is no surprise to this speculation. However, Meeks has had his own say on the matter and has defended his scandalous and sudden relationship with the heiress to the fashion empire. In his claims, he speaks more about his love for Green.

While they have endured a whirlwind romance, you do wonder how the worlds of these two people collided. Having had a criminal background and served several years in prison, how did a British socialite come to cross paths with Meeks and subsequently end up having a relationship with this married man? Meeks thanks his newfound career path for leading him in the direction of his relationship with Chloe and says having both come from tight-knit families was an attractive quality.

Since becoming public with Chloe, Jeremy states that his marriage had been over a long time before, shutting down any rumors of an affair. While they may have still been legally married, Meeks states that he remained married to Melissa for the sake of their children ‘as not to disrupt their lifestyle.’ Meanwhile, he had met Chloe at a party at Cannes Film Festival when she approached him having seen him standing alone. This, however, didn’t lead to anything and the individuals went their separate ways.

Meeks expresses that Chloe’s kindness and her consideration of others are what first attracted her to him, but it was not till they met again at a party in Monaco and again at a Phillipp Plein dinner that things really began to heat up between the pair. While celebrating at an after-party for one of Phillipp’s fashion shows, Meeks spotted Chloe once again. However, the sighting came as a surprise to the former felon who was not expecting to see Chloe there.

Having claimed he had not put her on the guest list and wasn’t sure how she was invited, he has since recalled this moment as the time they fell in love. He stated that he knew walking in the Phillipp Plein show would be big for him, he appreciates it most for having led him back to Chloe. After images of the two emerged online, Chloe announced on her social media that this was “just the beginning” for the new couple.

Since making their relationship public, it seems as though they are willing to show just how serious they are as a pairing. While it may not have been the most straightforward start to a relationship, the couple constantly expresses that this is the real deal. As for the speculation that Meeks is in for her father’s money, Meeks has made his view of this very clear. In fact, he claims he had no idea who Chloe even was when they met.

As he has secured a life far away from his orange jumpsuit and gang culture life, he states that he fell in love with Chloe before learning of who she was and her family’s background. Responding to the claims that he was after her fortune, Meeks has stated that ‘One thing I can say to people who are speculating about that happiness is that I am funding myself and the lifestyle that I have. I am paying for myself, and I am paying for my child.”

As for the start of their relationship and then going on to learn about each other’s backgrounds, Meeks says, “she was just Chloe to me, and she still is. I love her for her.” As for his relationship with her father, Meeks further expresses, ‘I am a model and Sir Philip works in fashion. He’s very successful and I’m sure he has many models he could use, so if he needs me I’m there. If not, I have other work, so I’m very blessed.’

He may not have his eyes set on stealing the catwalk for Sir Phillip Green’s fashion empire, but he does say he has ‘a lot of love for him.’ Stating that he would still love Chloe even if she did not have a single dollar to her name, he has also said that her fashion mogul father has accepted their relationship regardless of his past because ‘he knows his daughter’ and ‘knows that if she’s in love she won’t have chosen someone who isn’t right.’

On his relationship with Chloe, in response to all the hate, he said: ‘I’ve never been happier in my life than right now. We’ve found love, we’re in love and we are very happy.’ So, while they may come from completely different backgrounds and lived worlds apart, they’re out to prove everyone wrong with their true love for one another. We just hope he does not repeat any of his previous mistakes during his new romance since he’s had a habit of not learning from his past.
