These Clever Firefighters Had To Think Fast To Save Raccoons From A Warehouse Fire

Being a firefighter means being prepared for anything and having to think on your feet. It looked as though a team were about to get stumped at a call. They would have to put all of their training to good use if they were going to save these raccoons from a warehouse fire.

These Clever Firefighters Had To Think Fast To Save Raccoons From A Warehouse Fire

Getting The Call

The South Bend Fire Department thought that it was going to be yet another day in Indiana when they received a call about a warehouse fire. The team loaded up the fire truck and headed off to the scene as quickly as they could to help tackle the blaze. Little did they know that this was about to be a call they would never forget.

In Need Of Help

The team started to tackle the blaze when some of them noticed there was someone on the roof that needed their help. It turned out that two raccoons had got caught up in the flames, and now they were trapped. However, they were wild animals and would most likely run into the danger is the firefighters got too close. They needed a new plan.

These Clever Firefighters Had To Think Fast To Save Raccoons From A Warehouse Fire

Thinking On Their Feet

Thankfully, two of the firefighters thought of the perfect plan. They carefully placed two ladders, one on top of the other, up the side of the warehouse and stepped back. They had to hope the raccoons would realize they were there to help and find their way down. Thankfully, it wasn’t long before they worked out what they needed to do and scampered down to safety.

It could have been the end for these two raccoons. That was until the kind-hearted firefighters put their skills to the test to rescue the scared animals. No one gets left behind on their watch, even if the team sometimes need new ways to save those in danger.
