A recent act of mercy by a daring hunter was caught on video, as the man risks it all in order to free a mountain lion that had mistakenly gotten caught in a trap. In the desert wilderness of Helper, Utah, the man can be seen approaching a mountain lion, also known as cougars, who had mistakenly gotten its foot stuck in a trap that had been laid for bobcats and coyotes.

The latter two animals are two predators that are more likely to attack passersby, which has seen them become a popular prize in recent years. Mountain lions, on the other hand, are territorial creatures that have a much lower probability of attacking, humans.

As the lion struggled in pain to free its paw, it began to panic, screaming and clawing the ground, in an attempt to wrench itself free. Dust clouded around the animal as its thrashing kicked up the desert dust, who was ultimately thrown to the ground.

The man approached the alarmed animal with a noose on a pole, in order to hopefully control its movements should his attempt to help provoke an attack. As he hooked the lion, his efforts seem to go unappreciated, but the fearless hunter presses on with his rescue attempt. He inched behind the lion, approaching the trap mechanism in order to release the trapped paw.

The lion laid on the ground in defeat, nervously eyed the hunter, who reached the trap, and released the mechanism with his foot. He then had to get down on the ground in order to manually remove the large cat’s paw from the trap. Meanwhile, he still has a tight hold on the noose keeping the animal at arm’s length, as the cat slowly recognizes that its paw has been freed. The man released the cat from his hold, and hurried to leave the scene.

Her second born daughter Rainey made a name for herself , separate to her mother, in the music and acting industry. Shiela never met her father until she was 14 years old and has said that she often struggled with her identity. After a stint in prison, Sheila spoke out about her time behind bars as well as forgiving her father. She currently lives in Ohio where she was born.

Dominik, who is the eldest of Andy Garcia’s four children, has dreamt of being a dancer since she was a little girl. Now, at the age of 32, Garcia’s career may have missed the mark a bit, but she has still been able to get roles in quite a few films. Dwayne has a very special relationship with his daughter and they can often be seen posing in Instagram photos together. Simone has also accompanied her father to some red carpet events. Simone also has a sister called Jasmine Johnson, who is just one years old. She was born to Dwayne’s new partner Lauren Hashian.

Earvin Johnson III, also known as E.J., is the son of the world famous basketball player Magic Johnson. E.J was born in 1992 and has gone on to become famous in his own right. He starred in the reality tv show Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. E.J is also known to be extremely clever – he attended New York University. E.J is also openly gay and even underwent weight loss surgery a couple of years ago. He also has an adopted sister.

Wayne Gretzky is probably the most famous ice hockey player in the world. He married Janet Jones in 1988 in a beautiful wedding ceremony. Shortly afterwards their daughter Paulina was born. Now Paulina is 28 years old and is a signer and model. She met and married Dustin Johnson, a golfer, and the couple had a child together in 2015. It was only a couple of months ago that the couple announced that they were going to have another child later this year.

Alexandra Hoffman, also known as ‘Ali’, is the daughter of famous actor Dustin Hoffman and businesswoman Lisa Hoffman. Ali had a brief relationship with Jonah Hill and it was a media frenzy. The pair were friends for years before deciding to take things to the next level. The hype surrounding their relationship was crazy, which perhaps was one of the reasons the relationship never lasted longer than nine months. Since then things have calmed down, and Ali has kept a relatively low profile.

Bella Hadid was born to the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster. She’s totally grown up today and is a beautiful model in her own right. She’s even been in the same runway shows as her sister Gigi. Bella was also just recently announced as the face of Dior and Bulgari. Bella’s personal life has also been in the headlines recently, after her boyfriend The Weekend started dating her best friend Selena Gomez! We couldn’t believe it!

Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus was born in 1990 and he had some big shoes to fill – literally, his father is a size 13! And it looks like Marcus did pretty well, he won a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Central Florida. Marcus also proved loyalty to his father when he continued to wear Nike Air Jordan sneakers when he had a contract with Adidas. This resulted in Adidas pulling Marcus from their campaign. It just goes to show that blood is thicker than water!

Ashley Stern is the youngest out of Howard Stern’s three daughters. Today she is 24 years old and she seems to keep a low profile. Howard married Ashley’s mother, Alison Berns in 1978. Their marriage seemed to be successful, and the Stern’s appeared to have the perfect family life. However, the couple divorced in 2001 which we are sure must have affected Ashley. Although Ashley has appeared in a couple of films, it is thought that she wants a career away from the spotlight.

Cruel Intentions stars Reese Witherspoon, and Ryan Phillippe’s marriage may have failed after divorcing for umreconciliable differences, but hey! At least they brought two beautiful children into the world, Ava Phillippe being one of them. Ava has clearly grown up a lot since her days of tagging along at mom’s side as she now makes many big girl decisions of her own including dying her hair pastel pink! We think this is a fantastic look for the young star in training.

Zahara Jolie Pitt is the adoptive daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The couple adopted two other children as well having twins and a daughter biologically. Zahara was born in Ethiopia, and was actually living in an orphanage before being taken into the Jolie-Pitt family. Zahara’s biological family were reportedly happy that she would be given a life full of luxuries. Sadly, Zahara’s parents most famously recently split – we hope that this doesn’t have too much of an effect on her!

Sandra Bullock, one of the world’s most famous actresses adopted son Louis in 2010. Louis was born in Louisiana, and although Sandra initially intended to adopt Louis with her then husband, Jesse. G. James, following their separation and subsequent divorce, Sandra proceeded with the adoption as a single parent. Recently, Sandra also adopted a baby girl, making the Bullock’s the perfect family. Today, Louis is seven years old and really growing up fast! We can’t wait to see what his future holds.

The Beckham children were pretty much celebrities before they were even born. Victoria and David’s eldest son, Brooklyn, is often spotted with his parents in London. Since 2007, Brooklyn’s primary residence has been in Los Angeles, where he lives with his parents and three younger siblings, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven. Hailie is absolutely gorgeous these days and frequently shares photos of herself on Instagram, which is a contrast to her shielded childhood, where Eminem barely showed any photos of her.

Dakota Johnson, the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson is now all grown up! These days Johnson has become just as famous as her beloved parents and a lot of it is down to the Fifty Shades franchise. In 2015 the blue-eyed beauty was cast as the lead role in the film series as Christian Grey’s love interest Anna Steele. We wonder if her parents can watch the movie without their hands across their eyes.  Either way, it’s clear that Johnson is a natural born actress.

Bon Jovi’s guitarist Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear created one heck of a gem, also known as their daughter Ava Sambora. Now, at the age of 18 years old, Ava clearly takes after her mother with her incredibly gorgeous looks and knockout talent. The young Sambora has already embarked on her modeling career and has accumulated a massive online fan base. Also known to be quite the socialite Sambora can be seen frolicking around with her famous friends. Oh to be young again!

Mariska Hargitay is best known for playing Olivia Benson in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The beauty married Peter Hermann in 2004, who she met on the set of Law & Order. They had a biological child of their own before deciding to embark on their adoption journey. In 2011 the couple adopted two babies, a girl called Amaya. Mariska has been outspoken about the difficulties of adoption. Today, Amaya continues to grow into an independent little girl.
