Most professional sportsmen and women start playing because they want to achieve greatness. They want to be remembered for winning that race or making that touchdown; perhaps even getting into the history books. For many, it’s a dream that never happens. However, for some there is fame and fortune in the sporting world. Just perhaps not for the right reasons. Here are the sports players who will be remembered in the history books for their scandals!
Michael Vick
While he may want to be remembered for his time at Atlanta Falcons, what he will actually be remembered for is one of the most horrific stories known to man. Michael Vick was found to be embroiled in a scandal that involved fighting dogs, where he kept, fought and even killed dozens of animals. He served 21 months out of his 23 month prison sentence.
Lance Armstrong
After winning the Tour de France seven times and overcoming testicular cancer, everyone thought Lance Armstrong was a true hero. That was until he admitted to using steroids, despite telling everyone that he had never touched the stuff.
This led to him losing all of his Tour de France titles and stepping down from the Livestrong foundation.
