The 44th President of the United States of America was Barack Obama. He was previously in Illinois State Senate from 1997 until 2004. After that, Barack Obama became the Democratic Senator for Illinois from 2005 until 2008. Obviously, we all know what happened after that for the next eight years. Whether you liked his policies and personality or not, President Obama had a notable presidency that ended with a virtually scandal-free legacy. Not that anybody cares, but for the record, he was born in Hawaii two years after the territory became the 50th state. Although we recently said farewell to Barack Obama, we already miss him.

Do you remember when the White House press secretary was still Josh Earnest? Well, he announced that the Obama’s were planning on doing a little traveling as soon as the new year hit. He explained, “The President vowed to take his family to a destination that is warmer than Washington, D.C. on Friday and Palm Springs fits the bill. This is a community that the President has visited on a number of occasions as President of the United States. He and his family have enjoyed the time they’ve spent there in the past. And they’re looking forward to traveling there on Friday.” But before their well-deserved vacation, the Obamas attended the 2017 Inauguration in style.

As the Obamas left the 2017 Inauguration, surely all they could think about was heading out on a relaxing vacation.We can only imagine how stressful it is being in charge of an entire country. Barack Obama told Rolling Stone, “You know, I’m gonna sleep for a couple of weeks when I get out of here, take my wife on a well-deserved vacation… And I’ll spend time in my first year out of office writing a book, and I’m gonna be organizing my presidential center, which is gonna be focused on precisely this issue of how do we train and empower the next generation of leadership.”

As the change of power officially took place, Obama bade the American people one final farewell before jetting off. He arrived at the inauguration as the current President of the United States and left as a former president. As the torch was passed on the the new president, Donald Trump, Barack Obama headed into his jet plane to join his wife, Michelle Obama, who had entered it moments before. The two then took off, circling above the White House, they place they called home for the last eight years, and headed towards the next chapter of their lives.

After taking some time off in the enormous Palm Springs home, former First Lady Michelle Obama was spotted departing an international airport. Despite the high elevation of the city and panoramic views of the valley, she was noticed leaving the the former estate of Leonore and Walter Annenberg for another destination. We love to see this! This is us vacationing, but we don’t make it look so cool. Barack and Michelle arrived at the private island retreat off of the British Virgin Islands, which is owned by RiSir Richard Branson, on January 23, 2017. Apparently they had to travel from a motorcade to a boat; from there, they went off to Neverland. Just kidding. They are certainly in a tropical area considering their apparel. Bad boy Richard Branson wrote to his social media fans about their afternoon saying, “We decided to set up a friendly challenge: Could Barack learn to kitesurf before I learned to foilboard? We agreed to have a final day battle to see who could stay up the longest…”

For those of you who don’t know, kitesurfing is riding not only on a surfboard but also holding onto a kite at the same time! Foilboarding is similar, but the surfboard has a hydrofoil that lifts it above the water’s surface.

It only took Barack a few days to master the art of kitesurfing. Richard Branson detailed their challenge online exclaiming, “We were neck and neck until the last run on the last day, when I got up on the foilboard and screamed along for over 50 metres, three feet above the water. I was feeling very pleased with myself, only to look over and see Barack go 100 metres on his kiteboard! I had to doff my cap to him and celebrate his victory.” At least he is not a sore loser?!

Luckily for us, we do not have to write a thousand words for this one picture. Nevertheless, we are pretty sure Barack Obama saved a couple of his black hairs that day from turn grey! If you don’t believe us, just Google his hair after eight years of living in the White House. Anyway, we are so happy that Barack Obama was able to indulge in a fun activity while on vacation. We are a little jealous we weren’t there to enjoy it with him. It is like he just dumped us and moved on the same day.

It is definitely a good thing Richard Branson and Barack Obama are both smiling in this picture otherwise haters could use this playful wrestling match against them. Can’t you hear it now? Just look at these two thugs fighting! Anyway, we did not even know these guys were friends, but they are really more like brothers. If they knew each other growing up in Hawaii, Chicago, England, or whatever international city, they probably would have been the best of friends, almost like twins… er, kinda.

Even though we did not see Michelle Obama on kitesurfing or foilboarding, she had a marvelous time on vacation with Barack Obama and Richard Branson on his private island near Necker Island. Here she is pictured with her husband and the immigration team. One thing we love about this picture is the fact that it looks like your everyday family photo. Barack and Michelle posed nicely and smiled sweetly with the staff for the night. They are dressed almost like tourists; they are certainly dressed down to say the least. We love that we can relate to them (and, yes, we still wish we were on vacation with them).

If you have not watched a relationship goals video on Facebook about these two, you need to Google it (and probably hit up social media a little more). There marriage seems so beautiful; they care about each other and truly want each other to be happy. Michelle Obama supports her husband and he leads her as the head of the family. Together, they have raised two bright and beautiful young ladies. The United States will miss having them in the White House and running the country. Well, maybe not the Republicans so much.

No, President Trump is not the only White House resident to take to Twitter. However, the former First Lady uses her account a little differently. For example, she tweeted this photo of her and her husband during their January vacation to the British Virgin Islands. Despite being able to brag about their billion-dollar holiday with gourmet feasts and elite company, she decided to show a humbling picture of their toes in the sand. Honestly, it is something every American desires to do at one point or another.

From Palm Springs to the British Virgin Islands to… New York City! The former president is quite busy since letting go of that ole ball and chain known as the American government. Immediately after returning to the states, he was making a splash getting some coffee in NYC. Apparently he had a meeting with the Simons Foundation; at least the headquarters are located in that building. James and Marilyn Simons reportedly donated about $700,000 to the Obama Presidential Library in Chicago. That is remarkable, to say the least, and we look forward to hearing more about the project!

After eight stressful years in office, Barack Obama decided it was time to spend some quality time with his daughter, Malia, 18, when the two attended a Broadway show together. Before the show, Obama took his oldest daughter to dinner at the Italian restaurant, Emilio’s Ballato, which is located in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. They then went to see Arthur Miller’s The Price! After the show, the Obama father-daughter duo met the cast, which included Danny DeVito and Mark Ruffalo.

We all known that Michelle Obama is good friends with everyone’s favorite host Ellen DeGeneres. The former First Lady told the comedian that, “I’m sure the girls will have a tough time… They think they’re ready, but when you’ve grown up in a place… It’s really the people. Think about it. The girls have grown up in the White House. I mean, the staff there – we see them every day. These are people who have helped us raise our kids. They’ve loved us. They’ve taken care of us. The minute we leave, that’s it.”

Well, sorry mom, but Sasha Obama seems to be adjusting to living outside of the White House just fine! The 15-year-old teen enjoyed a sunny afternoon at Miami Beach  on January 14. Now before everyone freaks out, that us say a couple things. First of all, she is at the beach so it is only right that she wears a swimsuit or bikini of some kind. Second, everyone who hits that stage looks like this and it is a little scary, but she is really not that big. Third, we all know Sasha is a smart student who respects her parents; she deserves to have a fun day with her friends. Now, go ahead and judge her all you want because you are perfect.

Here is Sasha during another day of her Miami Beach vacation. We do not care what the haters say, we think she is a beautiful young girl. Besides her good looks, which she probably got from her mom, Sasha is a very bright girl. She focuses so much on her studies that she missed her father’s farewell speech. However, she had a big exam the next morning that was very important to her. She definitely deserves to enjoy a couple days of fun in the sun if you ask us. Besides having to defend her enjoying some relaxation in Florida, we love her style (another thing she got from her mom!).

Do you remember being 15 years old and looking good in literally everything you wore? There is no way a bikini will look like that on her after she gets married and has a couple of kids. Besides, Sasha is such a respectful lady that by that time, she will not reveal herself in such ways besides to her husband. The point is, she might as well wear quite bikinis while she can! Now please excuse us as well go reminisce over our glory days, too. They were a long time ago, and we are a little jealous we didn’t own a star swimsuit like hers.

Malia just finished high school and turned 18. She has stayed pretty quiet since her father retired. However, she has been accepted to Harvard University. Before diving into her studies, Malia deferred her schooling for just one year. She recently went to South American including Bolivia for several weeks. However, for this focused girl it is not all fun and games. She was their doing amazing things for this world. The former First Daughter actually went unnoticed, so she was able to really be herself and help in every way possible.

In case you did not believe us, that really is Malia Obama. She supposedly joined the group known as Where There Be Dragons. She assists with conservation efforts for the environment. She also organizes educational trips abroad for young students. We are pretty proud of Malia Obama and her passion for not only the globe, but also the people in it. There is no doubt in our minds that she will continue to grow and mature once she attends Harvard.

Fellow protestor and actress Shailene Woodley praised the former first daguther for her attendance at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. She said, “It was amazing to see Malia… To witness a human being and a woman coming in to her own outside of her family and outside of the attachments that this country has on her, but someone who’s willing to participate in democracy because she chooses to… Because she recognizes, regardless of her last name, that if she doesn’t participate in democracy, there will be no world for her future children.”

After doing some good for everyone in the world, Malia Obama finally took a vacation. Hers came a few days after her sister’s and parent’s holiday, but she made her way to Aspen for some amazing skiing. After her one year deferment from college is done, Malia will be interning for the Weinstein Company in New York. However, her Aspen getaway is purely leisure. We already know the oldest daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama is private and avoids social media, but she certainly had a great time during this much-deserved holiday. We don’t even like snow, but this picture makes us want to skip the tropical island and head straight for the slopes.

Number seven is Holden Tisch, the other daughter of Steve, followed by number eight, Zachary Tisch, the son of Steve. Finally, Tassilo von Furstenberg, the grandson of Diane von Furstenberg is number nine.

In an interview with the New Yorker, Obama shared that he told his daughters to keep fighting for the values they believe in, which include respect, understanding, and kindness. Built in the 1920s, the estate was previously owned by Joe Lockhart. He was a White House press secretary for former President Bill Clinton. However, he now is the executive vice president of communications for the NFL. Clearly, he is rolling in the dough. Anyway, the house has the perfect blend of old-century charm and eclectic modernism. After all, it was renovated recently in 2011. Who doesn’t love a white and silver kitchen? It is so clean and bright! Also, the placement of that stove is genius.

The girls will have a Harvard-good-time in this fully-finished basement. With a television area and a library, it definitely is a basement for a couple smart teenagers. The Obama’s might want to add some more fun features like a Wii, for fitness of course, and a pool table, more geometric equations, and maybe a mini fridge, for… well, snacks! Good thing the Obama daughters are all grown up though because we could not have some little ones running around with all that white carpet, walls, and furniture!

Just picture it now: Michelle Obama hanging up all of her gorgeous dresses! She has worn some of the most elegant garments over the past eight years. Designers are humbled to dress such a classy and lovely first lady. This closet is more than a walk-in space; it is an entire room! Complete with chandelier and all, Michelle Obama will have lots of room for her purses, shoes, jewelry, clothes, and more. However, we are not sold on the red, black, and white color scheme. Maybe it is just that printed chair…

Now this is a master bathroom if we have every seen one! Okay, we have never seen one. Only on television, which obviously counts. The see-through shower and stand alone tub is a must. The extra vanity chair spot is a bonus! The smelly old White House probably does not have a bathroom like this one. It has the same bathroom that was used by President Abraham Lincoln. We can certainly see why this property is worth millions of dollars. There better be a dual vanity in this bathroom or all deals are off!

Just for the record, foilboarding is pretty sweet. As you can imagine, the additional feature of lifting off the water is probably the coolest thing invented since sliced bread. If Richard Branson is reading this (hey, maybe he wants to look at some pictures of himself?), check us out because we want to master this skill. Even falling in the water would be fun… Heck, even swimming in the water. You can tell we don’t get out much, huh? Anyway, Richard Branson rode this foilboard like a boss!

This must have been their first day on vacation in the British Virgin Islands because there is Barack Obama again with his baseball cap backwards and Michelle Obama looking all laid back with her thighs out. It is about time they are able to relax and go on vacation! Their close friend Richard Branson stands by their side. This is, most likely, some type of charitable work the billionaire businessman founded near his island home. He spends a lot of his time and money giving back to people who need it most. (Did we mention we need a vacation to a tropical, private island?)

Richard Branson is an English businessman, investor, and philanthropist. He has supported Barack Obama throughout his entire presidency and is a friend to the family. The chilled-out president had just turned his hat around after this picture was snapped!

If the master bath is full, you will just have to downgrade to this bathroom. With a floor-to-ceiling tiled shower, you certainly will be disappointment resorting to this shower in the house. Not! We could probably live in this bathroom. It is most likely bigger than our entire house, and it is just one of the many eight and a half bathrooms in the Obama Mansion. It even has a little seat just to… sit. Sure… As if there is not enough space for sitting in this castle.
