NBC’s show Little Big Shots focuses on children from all over the country who do amazing things. In one episode, a 6-year-old boy from Baltimore is helping homeless veterans, one care package at a time.

Little Big Shots sheds light on kids with all sorts of talents, it also makes sure that young individuals with big hearts don’t go unnoticed. Tyler Stallings is certainly one of them.

Although the little 6-year-old can’t do backflips or play a musical instrument, he has been selected for the show because of his pure selflessness and loving kindness. “I got to meet Steve Harvey on Little Big Shots and he interviewed me on how I help homeless veterans,” Tyler said.

His mother explained to him that not every person who serves their country is able to make ends meet upon returning to everyday life. This was Tyler’s ultimate incentive to reach out to those veterans who don’t have a home.

Tyler’s values are heavily inspired by his mother, Andrea Blackstone. “We have to really encourage them so they can keep doing good things and that good things are possible, too,” she said.

Ever since she gave Tyler this precious lesson, he has been hellbent on giving back, creating gift bags. He was able to show them off on the show. “I give them care packages, coats, jackets toothbrushes soap, anything they need,” the 6-year-old said.

Amazingly, Tyler has already written a book. He has used the proceeds from that book to fund his charitable efforts. Despite being so young, Tyler is mature beyond his years.

“I care about them and they haven’t been forgotten,” he said. “There’s still people that want to help them out.” Both Tyler, mother Andrea and the NBC show hope that his story will inspire other kids to reach out to those who are in desperate need.
