Heading To Prom
Jessica Melore was ready to attend her prom when an unexplained heart attack made her lose her leg and get fitted with an electric heart pump. It looked as though Jessica’s life was slowly getting back to normality as she headed back to school and was preparing for prom while waiting for a heart transplant. Sadly, she was rushed to the hospital a few days before prom. Jessica was devastated that she’d miss her nail appointment, but a nurse was soon on the case. All of a sudden, the teenager had a French manicure, so she was ready to make it to the big dance.
James Marshall was working with his brother when things took a turn. It looked as though James wanted to help grow the company, but his brother wanted to keep things the way they were. The result? James walked out of his job without giving his brother time to find a replacement. A few months went by, and the lack of work meant that James ran out of oil to heat his house. Without missing a beat, his brother had a tank delivered without his brother ever knowing – and showing that siblings are always there for one another.

Ended as Quickly as it Started
It looks like Kimberly’s workout ended before it even started. Just kidding! Considering that this powerhouse of a woman is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer, we can assume that she got back up just as quickly as she fell. After all, we all know what it’s like to lose our balance — Kimmie here just happened to do it on camera. Still, it’s clear that she has a good sense of humor considering that she posted the video herself.

Phew! Can you imagine having a scare like that? Thank goodness Cydni got out of there when she did! She must have been really shaken up when she woke up one morning to find a weird lump in her leg. While it only turned out to be her calf muscle, we guess it’s a good thing that she stopped working out. If she had continued going to the gym, chances are she would have started finding “weird lumps” on other parts of her body, and that would have probably turned into an anxiety attack.
Although this is a little cruel to do to the people working out around this guy, we can’t help but give him some credit for literally bringing takeout food to the gym. This dude couldn’t care any less about eating his lunch while other members are working out around him. We wonder if anyone decided to end their session early to get something to eat after watching Mr. Takeout Guy here eat his food. Maybe that was his intention by putting on this whole show…
A Slap in the Face
Ugh! Don’t you hate it when you’re so swole that your bands can’t even handle it? From the looks of it, Krystal feels the same way. In all seriousness, though, this fitness fail had to hurt at least a little. We mean, it was basically a slap in the face. Still, it seems like this workout queen recovered pretty well from it considering that her post caption read, “Way too funny not to repost! Home workout fail for your entertainment!” And we’re not going to lie — it was a little entertaining…

Membership Cancellation Done Right
For some people, the gym is their safe haven while for others, it’s their own personal nightmare. In any event, we can appreciate this person’s honesty. Chances are, this isn’t the first time Planet Fitness — or any gym for that matter — has received a cancellation form like this. Honestly, this person probably signed up for a gym membership on January 1st as their New Years resolution. After six months, though, they realized that they’re probably never going to actually work out so they decided to stop spending their money on something that they think is a waste.
She Thought She Got Away With It
Leah definitely isn’t the first person that this has happened to…or the last, for that matter. Still, it can’t be easy to show your face in a place where everyone has witnessed you falling flat on your face, whether they saw it in person or watched it on the security footage. Speaking of the footage, we have to say that it’s pretty cruel for the gym employees to play Leah’s fall for anyone who’s exercising to see. Tripping on the treadmill could literally happen to anyone…
All the Feels
We don’t know about you guys but we couldn’t relate more to this girl if we tried. Whether we’d like to admit it or not, sometimes the workout just gets so intense that we almost want to give up on life by the end of it. It’s clear that this gym-goer has zero cares in the world right now as she cools down from what looks like was a pretty tiring fitness session. On second thought, can someone get her some water so she doesn’t actually pass out?
Proper Form Isn’t His Forte
It seems as though some people don’t fully understand that higher weight doesn’t necessarily mean better results. In fact, proper form trumps weight in that it’s actually a key component if you want to get the best results possible. From the looks of it, though, this dude’s form is all off. While we can appreciate his effort to exercise, someone should probably tell him that he’s going to end up seriously hurting himself if he continues to lift like this.
This is definitely not something you want to read after stepping foot on the treadmill when you’ve just spent the whole morning convincing yourself to come to the gym in the first place. Then again, you could interpret the message a little differently. Maybe if you’re feeling totally lazy and unmotivated, this message is the perfect sign from above that today just isn’t going to be the day for a workout — at least, not a good one. In any event, we’d say that this recommendation definitely constitutes as a fitness fail considering the treadmill is made for running…
Ouch — that must have hurt! Although we don’t entirely know what happened to make this guy tumble off the treadmill, we can assume it had something to do with setting the speed too high while he was running. In any event, this poor man looks like he’s in worlds of pain. Chances are, he won’t be making it back to the gym for at least a week after taking this kind of fall. The big takeaway here, our friends, is to be careful while you’re working out!
Down She Goes…
Okay, we couldn’t help but giggle at this one. While this could happen to anyone, it’s pretty perfect that this girl managed to catch herself tripping on camera. In all seriousness, though, this girl knows what she’s doing. Not only was she going at the perfect pace but her form was also impeccable. Had her right foot not slipped off the bench, she wouldn’t have fallen. Still, we bet she got right back up and continued this awesome glute exercise.

Segway Outta Here
Lady, what are you even doing?! We’re so confused by this photo. Sure — we’ve seen some strange forms of what people consider a workout but this, without a doubt, takes the cake. Didn’t anyone ever explain to this woman that she actually has use her legs on the treadmill? Just because her segway is moving back and forth on the machine doesn’t mean she’s actually getting any sort of exercise. In fact, she’s doing the complete opposite! Can someone help her?!
Leg Press Machine Gone Wrong
We hate to break it to you, buddy, but you’re using this leg press machine all wrong. After all, it’s supposed to target your hamstrings and quads so we’re not entirely sure how you expect to do that in the position you’re in, which doesn’t look very comfortable, by the way. That’s probably because you’re supposed to sit face-forward. Perhaps someone should explain all of this to him before he ends up hurting himself. On second thought, maybe he should get himself a personal trainer to show him the way around all the machines…
Appropriate Gym Attire
Hmmmm, we wonder if anyone ever told this girl that a sundress and heels aren’t necessarily the most appropriate attire for the gym. Still, there could be a few reasons why she’s dressed like this. Perhaps she’s coming back from a bad date and wanted to blow off some steam. Maybe she’s on her way to the date and wanted to stop for a quick lift session…for some weird reason. Whatever the case may be, she should have probably brought a change of clothes with her.
That’s Gonna Leave a Mark
Well…that had to hurt. In fact, we almost felt this girl’s pain between her loud scream of agony and the way she grabbed her backside. While this could have been a great way to target the legs and glutes, what we should really take away from this is that one can never fully trust these elastic resistance bands — one second it’s perfectly in place and the next, it’s snapping right into your back. That’s Not How You Do a Pullup…
From the shape this girl is in, she clearly knows what she’s doing when it comes to working out. Still, we’re not exactly sure what she’s trying to achieve here. Perhaps she was just doing a warmup stretch before her actual exercise session but in any case, it didn’t seem that effective considering she lost her grip and bonked her head into a wall. If this is her version of a pullup, well then someone might need to remind her what to do.

Ditch the Pepsi
At first glance, we thought this photo looked completely normal. After a second, though, we noticed that this lady is drinking a 2-liter bottle of Pepsi. While we all like to have the occasional treat, the Stairmaster may not be the right place to enjoy a sugary beverage. Unlike the “Ice Cream Cone Girl,” this woman genuinely looks like she wants to work out so perhaps she should ditch the soda for another time considering that it doesn’t hydrate you the way that water does.
Ouch! While the exercise that this girl is doing is incredibly effective in targeting the upper body, she “made a boo-boo” so to speak within the first few seconds. Although she clearly knows what she’s doing when it comes to working out, we can’t really say that she’s entirely aware of her surroundings. Let’s just hope she was wearing sneakers when the light bulb broke so she didn’t seriously injure herself. In any event, there’s no doubt that she learned her lesson after this little mishap…

Mr. Potato Head
Like most of us, Mr. Potato Head cares about his health. With that being said, it’s super important for him to work out regularly considering the fact that he’s all starch and carb! If we’re being completely serious, though, Mr. Potato Head walking on a treadmill would be one of the funniest sights to see at the gym. Whether it was Halloween or this gym-goer just decided to dress up for fun, there’s no doubt that whoever’s inside this costume is sweating bullets.
Where Are Your Clothes?
Excuse me, sir? You do realize you’re in a towel, right? From the looks of it, this gym is either located in a neighborhood clubhouse or a hotel so chances are, this guy stopped by the facilities after going for a quick dip in the pool. Still, we don’t think anyone wants to come to the gym for a workout only to find a man who’s wrapped in nothing but a towel using the treadmill. He should probably just put on some clothes to save himself and others from an awkward encounter…
While we can understand the incessant need to workout, this is just a little much. Sure — parents deserve to have time to themselves to workout like anyone else but perhaps this father should have left his daughter with mommy dearest. After all, it’s a little dangerous to have a baby attached to your back while you’re lifting weights. Then again, this little girl looks well acquainted with her surroundings so perhaps this is a father-daughter routine of theirs.
Let’s be real — the irony in this photo is almost blinding. For one, it’s a little baffling that any gym would ever install an escalator in the front of their facilities. We mean, it’s only encouraging people to be lazy. All the people pictured here are literally on their way into the gym to exercise and not one of them is using the actual staircase. While we can all appreciate the efficiency of escalators, perhaps this wasn’t the most logical place to install one.
Red in the Face
If this isn’t the face of a man in serious pain, we don’t know what is. Perhaps he’s just having an “off” day but if we’re being real here, it seems a little more like he may have added a wee bit too much weight to the barbell. Whether he was just trying to give himself a challenge or impress someone at the gym, it’s safe to say that it didn’t go as planned. Someone should probably tell him that his form is a little wonky…
There’s no denying that gymnastics is a thrilling and fun sport but it’s definitely not for everyone. Take this gal, for instance. While we don’t fully know what happened in her attempt to do a flip, we can tell that this woman may not be the most experienced gymnast around. We mean, let’s be real — she looks pretty scared. It’s probably due to the fact that she’s about to face-plant right into the ground. Let’s just hope that there’s a mat on the floor to soften the blow.
Treat Your Brain Like a Muscle
Although anatomically, our brain isn’t a muscle, we’ve always been told that we should exercise it like it is one. From the looks of it, though, this guy might have taken that lesson little too literally. In all seriousness, it’s a little unclear as to what muscle he’s actually trying to target with this exercise of his. Perhaps he should have another look at the informative stickers on the machine that show you how to properly use it so he doesn’t end up injuring himself.
When Gaming Is Life
Who said that you can’t do two things at once? After all, it seems like this guy has multitasking down to a tee. Most people listen to music on their phone and maybe some even read their Kindle while doing cardio but not this dude. He’s clearly just as serious about gaming as he is about working out. On second thought, maybe he’s a little more into gaming. In any event, we don’t really understand why he couldn’t wait until he got home to play computer games but to each their own…
Neck of Steel
Oh, man. Rather than risk their customers hurting themselves, gyms really need to require a personal trainer or an employee that’s familiar with the machines to walk around and help anyone that may need assistance. Take this guy, for instance. He’s yet another one who’s using the machine all wrong. For some reason, he thinks this device is intended to target his neck when he should really be using it to work out the other end of his body considering that it’s a reverse leg curl machine.
Raise the Roof
Either the ceilings in the gym are insanely low or this guy is too tall for his own good. Whatever the case may be, this doesn’t seem like the most comfortable way to work out on an elliptical. Then again, he doesn’t totally seem to have a problem with it — at least, not at this point. If he continues to work out at this gym, he’ll have to get used to removing a ceiling panel every time he wants to use the elliptical machine.
This whole picture makes us nervous for this man’s safety. Seriously, if he isn’t careful, he could wind up breaking his neck. What we’re wondering is why no one told him that this strange form of exercise is basically a death trap. How did he even think to do this in the first place? What exactly is he trying to achieve here? We have so many questions and not nearly enough answers. In any event, we just hope this guy is okay…
Ha! We’re sorry but this is easily one of the funniest branding mistakes we’ve ever seen. It’s clear that this particular gym didn’t fully think things through when it came to designing their logo. The little running man was presumably intended to look like an “i” but it’s safe to say that it better resembles an “a,” reading FatForever instead of FitForever. With that being said, we’re sure it’s a little discouraging for people to see this as they make their way into the gym.
Eating & Burning Calories Simultaneously
While some people may scoff at the sight of someone eating ice cream whilst getting doing cardio on a stationary bicycle but we have to give this girl props for having zero shame. From the unamused expression on her face and the ice cream cone in her hand, we can tell that this girl was probably forced to come to the gym. Whether her mom made her go or a friend asked her to join, it’s clear that this girl would rather be somewhere else. At least she’s making the most of the situation…
Just Go Home…
Okay, this might be worse than the lady on her segway. We’re trying to understand why this woman decided to come to the gym in the first place. While we all have our lazy days where we lack the motivation to work out, it seems as though this gym-goer gave up altogether considering that she brought along a folding lawn chair and planted herself on the machine. If she’s truly thrown in the towel, then she should probably give up the treadmill to someone that actually wants to be there.
Well, it looks like someone’s missing an afro. From the looks of it, this hairpiece must have not been that important considering that the person it belonged to left it behind on the crunch machine after finishing up their set. Still, it would have been nice if they took it along with them so the next person to use the machine isn’t greeted by what looks like a giant hairball. In any event, we’d love to see the reaction of whoever found this furry gym pal.
Everyday Is Upper Body Day
While we can all admit that these guys looks pretty fit, one thing’s for sure — they skipped one too many leg days. Now, if you’re an avid gym-goer, then you know one of the first rules of working out is to never skip leg day. Clearly our friends here never got the memo. That, or they just don’t want to go through the hassle of working out their legs to the point that they’re too sore to sit down.
Babies & Squats
Here we have yet another father working out with his baby! We understand the fact that you want to be a good father and spend time with your kid but perhaps you’d be an even better dad if you just unstrapped your baby and sat him down while you did your reps. The fact that this baby is strapped to his daddy’s tummy while he squats with an exceedingly heavy barbell makes us so nervous. We wonder what mama bear would say if she saw this…
I’m Lovin’ It
Believe it or not but clowns also need to watch their figure so it really shouldn’t come as much of a shock that Ronald McDonald is taking time out of his day to go to the gym and get his fitness on. After all, it has to be tough keeping weight off when your diet normally consists of nuggets, McDoubles, and Ron’s favorite — McFlurries. In all seriousness, though, we can all agree that it’d be a little weird to walk into the gym one day only to see someone dressed as the mascot for Mickey D’s.
Squatting His Way Into Chocolate Cake
Wait, what’s happening here? This isn’t normally what you’d expect to see at the squat bar in your gym. We’re not entirely sure why this guy’s friend — let’s call him Luke — is feeding him a whole chocolate cake. We’d say Luke’s just trying to motivate his pal to complete the set by putting a yummy treat in front of his face but frankly, Mr. Squatter here looks like he’s just about seconds away from bursting into tears so that’s obviously not the case.
He Is Batman
Okay — we know what you’re thinking but just because Batman is a superhero doesn’t mean he can skip out on days at the gym. On the contrary, he’s actually spent basically his whole life training his body and mind to near physical perfection to even become the self-made superhero that we know him as today. His sole job is to protect the people of Gotham City whilst waging eternal war on the criminals. Now, how exactly is he supposed to do that if he’s not in tip-top shape?
My Spidey Senses Are Tingling
Speaking of superheroes — it looks like this guy is channeling his inner Spider-Man. The more likely explanation, though, is that he just has absolutely no clue how to use this machine or what its purpose is, for that matter. While you can perform a range of arm and back exercises using that one machine, whatever this man is doing definitely doesn’t count. Still, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t slightly impressed that this gym-goer got himself up there. It’d be even more impressive if he used his “spidey senses” to get himself down without any assistance.
Headstand for Days
It seems like quite a few people on this list enjoy the occasional…stretch. And while this is one creative way to do a headstand, this man seems a little confused as to what this machine is actually intended for — pull-ups and tricep dips. On the other hand, though, he looks like he’s an avid gym-goer from the shape he’s in, so maybe he knows exactly what he’s doing and is just trying to switch his workout up. Still, there’s a stretch area for that so perhaps he should practice his headstands over there…
Ever Heard of a Barbell Clip?
See, people? This is exactly why it’s important to have at least one spotter with you when you’re lifting or squatting with a barbell. This guy may have lost his grip — and his balance — while squatting but at least he had a couple of friends spotting him to prevent any serious injuries from happening. While he did the right thing there, maybe next time he should add a barbell clip to keep the weights from slipping off so this whole scenario doesn’t have to happen again.
Just a Touch of Sarcasm
While we can understand the intention behind this message — as people of all ages and physical strength use the gym — the wording that World Gym used for this flyer almost seems a little sarcastic. Though it doesn’t apply to everyone, there are plenty of people who don’t rerack their weights not because they’re feeling weak, but because they’re just lazy. From what we can assume, the front desk girls wrote this message themselves in hopes that it would save them from having to rerack the weights at the end of their shift.
Member Success Stories
We hate to bring this up again but perhaps the reason that 24 Hour Fitness doesn’t have any success stories from their members is because they made the decision to install an escalator in front of the gym, which is pretty much the definition of lazy. Between that and this blank board, this 24 Hour Fitness branch isn’t totally shouting success. It’s a little hard to imagine people feeling motivated to work out when these are the first details they’re met with as they enter the facility.
Throwing Form Out the Window
Okay, buddy. We hate to be the ones to tell you this but in all honesty, you’re really not impressing anyone by attempting to benchpress that much weight when your form looks like this. If you have to lift up your bottom half like this in order to get the barbell back on the rack, then it’s too heavy. Now, based on the fact that you look pretty fit, you should know this by now. Just take a few pounds off and try again.
Take Your Hobbies Elsewhere
So we’ve already mentioned that some gym-goers enjoy the occasional read while they’re warming up or finishing their workout with cardio. Still, that’s a little different than what this guy is doing here. Not only has he just started reading a Harry Potter-sized novel but he’s also planted himself on a bench that other people could actually be using to work out, which is what the gym is intended for. We wouldn’t be surprised if some gym rat chewed this dude out for hogging the equipment.
At Least He Remembered the Clips!
From the looks of it, we can assume that this guy wanted to challenge himself by adding more weight to the barbell for his squat reps. While it would have been easier to attempt this if he had a spotter behind him to watch his form, at least he didn’t have to worry about the iron plates slipping off the barbell since he remembered to put the clips on! Let’s just hope this dude was able to put the bar down without seriously hurting himself.
You Need to Turn Around…
This man may not be using the back machine exactly the right way but at least he’s not hanging on it from upside down. If he’s looking to do this kind of exercise, though, the machine he needs is right across from him. Considering that there are a couple of people around him, you’d think someone would explain this to him or at least let him know that he needs to face the other way. Also, doesn’t it feel a little weird to him that this machine is suspending him into the air?
That’s Not How You Do It…
We’d be lying if we said that this photo isn’t slightly concerning. We’re not really sure what this man is trying to achieve by suspending himself from the multifunctional exercise machine but it’s clear that he’s not very familiar with how to use it. Considering how uncomfortable he looks, someone should probably help him get down. Maybe they should also show him a few exercises that he can do using this machine so this whole thing doesn’t have to happen again.
That’s One Way to Bench Press
There’s nothing like getting a couple of cute girls to help you out with some benchpress reps. While replacing the steel weight plates with these ladies seemed like a brilliant idea at first, it quickly becomes evident that the exercise isn’t going to go as smoothly as all three parties had hoped. The woman on the right clearly looks like she’s nervous about falling and rightfully so considering that she toppled over no more than a few seconds after Mr. Tough Guy started his reps.

There’s no denying that this gal here has experience in the gym. Everything from her figure to her overall form can tell us that she knows what she’s doing. Just Like a Baby Horse
Well, that pretty much sums it up. Considering that Sarah is a white belt or beginning rank in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu — a self-defense martial art & combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds — it makes sense as to why her push-ups aren’t necessarily in tip-top shape yet. Perhaps she’s never had much experience working out before. Still, that doesn’t mean her push-ups won’t improve as her technique does. Plus, at least she can honestly say that she knows self-defense.
Falling Asleep Mid-Situp
Well, that’s one way to end a workout! Sure — we can all understand getting a bit tuckered out after a workout but it’s a little hard to imagine falling asleep mid-situp. Still, Eliane managed to do it. What we’re left wondering is why no one woke her up before the gym closed. It couldn’t have been that every person in that gym just wanted to let the poor girl sleep. Whoever locked up that night clearly didn’t check the whole gym for any napping members…
Cracking the Code
Call us crazy but Jessi’s college roommate seems to have the right idea here. What do you do when you want to eat a bunch of junk food without gaining weight? Well, the only logical solution is to move a treadmill into your apartment and exercise with a Dr. Pepper in hand whilst eating a family-sized bag of Cheetos Puffs. Listen — it could be worse because, as one of Jessi’s Twitter followers puts it, “She could have been sitting on the couch.

There’s no denying that stretching is an important part of working out, both before and after — before to help warm up the muscles and after to help avoid stiff and sore muscles. In any event, we respect this gal’s passion for stretching but perhaps she took it a little too far considering that the whole machine toppled over as she did. Let’s just say it’s a good thing that a few people were standing nearby to help her out of that pretzel-esque stretch.

Running Into Trouble
Let’s be real, here — we’ve all done things to impress those we like whether it’s changing our musical preferences, learning how to skateboard, or even signing up for the track team. While we can appreciate the effort Jenny made to talk to a boy she was crushing on, perhaps this wasn’t the best way to go.
