Trusting Her Staff

Apparently, one of Brigette’s new employees asked their boss if they could work from home. Before they explained, Brigette stopped them and said they didn’t need to give a reason. As long as the work got done, then Brigette was happy.

Making Her Point

Brigette continued to explain that she didn’t need to know if any of her employees needed to leave early because of a personal issue or if they would be late thanks to a doctor’s appointment. They could work from home, from the car garage, or at hours that suited them as long as they could still live their personal lives.

Showing The World

As well as cutting employee some slack, Brigette also wanted to show the world how to be a leader. She believes the world has become too focused on working in the office rather than keeping their employees happy and letting them have personal lives.

Many of us have learned that things don’t go wrong outside of office hours. In fact, it often feels the complete opposite. Now, Brigette hopes the rest of the world can take a leaf out of her book and give people a break for having personal lives.

There’s no denying it – the human eye is mysteriously attracted to things that are beautiful and harmonious. There’s an odd sense of satisfaction and even relaxation that we get from looking at things that fit just right, line up perfectly or are just plain beautiful. While we may never understand what it is that creates that mysterious sensation of satisfaction, it seems to be undeniably universal. Maybe it’s because, in an increasingly chaotic world, these images give us a sense of order and remind us of just what a beautiful world we live in.

At first glance, this photo barely looks real. But look closer, and you’ll see that those are real, live insects – which are sawfly larvae – in an almost perfectly symmetrical row. They are systematically snacking away on the flesh of a bottlebrush leaf, leaving behind the beautiful, delicate architecture underneath.

The fact that these kinds of things are happening in nature all around us, every single day, is enough to give you a new appreciation for life.

When one has multiple pet cats, there’s no guarantee that they will always get along. Cats are notoriously independent creatures, and seem, for the most part, most content when they are curled up in a ball on their own.

Watermelon can be especially tricky due to its curved shape and messy juices. A less creative person would probably just fit in one big slice of watermelon in the bag and call it a day. But whoever figured out this hack has managed to utilize every centimeter of space – and we are loving it.

It’s hard to imagine an image that more perfectly illustrates the term “winter wonderland.” Clusters of ice, formed by specific weather conditions, have grown atop the rocks in this shallow creek in Finland, and the way they have formed here is so perfect that it looks like someone came and put spiky white hats on each stone.

At first glance, this object seems to be a narrow tree trunk, where you can see the rings marking how old the tree is. However, if you look closer, something about the texture and the colors of the rings doesn’t seem quite right.

That’s because it’s not a tree trunk – it’s a stick that a painter had been using to stir paint for over a year. When each layer dried down, he would use it again, which is what created these mesmerizing rings.

We can find so many satisfying things if we just go outside and spend some time communing with Mother Nature. On a frosty winter morning forest walk, this girl found something incredible.

A solid sheet of ice had frozen onto this giant leaf, and when she peeled it off, it left an intricately detailed imprint that is so crisp and clear, it almost looks like crystal. Something about this makes us want to go on nature walks more often!

Whoever was the farmer that gathered and loaded these carrots onto this truck, it’s safe to say that he’s probably something of a perfectionist.

It’s hard to understand how, in fact, this was accomplished, and we’re wondering how well this work of carrot art will manage to stay on the truck as it drives over the bumpy country roads. But one thing’s for sure: it looks so cool, that it would be a shame to unload it!

These perfectly spherical droplets decorate each tip of this plant’s leaves, seemingly defying gravity. These are not dew droplets; rather, it’s the result of a phenomenon known as guttation.

Guttation occurs when drops of xylem sap exude from inside the leaves of some vascular plants and fungi, as opposed to dew, which is a result of condensation from the atmosphere collecting the plant’s surface. These clear droplets make it look like the plant is wearing adorable “jewelry”.

Making art is a process that can be incredibly fun and rewarding, but it always comes with its share of clean-up afterward. But if you’re lucky, the clean-up process can be just as fun as making the art itself.

This woman had been using the same ice-cube tray for a really long time, and so many layers of the stuff had dried down together that when it came time to remove it, the whole thing came out as one solid mass of psychedelic color that could be seen as a work of art in itself!

Tic Tacs are oblong mint candies that are delicious and addictive. They come in the iconic plastic box that by itself, is nothing special. But somehow, someone managed to get a box of Tic Tacs in which each little candy is lined up perfectly in a row, and we seriously don’t know how this happened.

Whether it just magically happened on its own or someone actually spent their time opening the box and lining up each mint perfectly, the result is super satisfying!

Ice is one of the wonders of the natural world that can form in so many stunning ways. Here, a metal fence has sprouted millions of tiny jagged ice crystals, which form a beautiful “picture frame” around this solitary tree.
